Patent Ceremony Recognizes Inventor David Houlding of the Healthcare Group and Perot Systems Gains Another Patent

On December 18, senior leaders Mr. Ross Perot, chairman emeritus; Darcy Anderson, chief people officer; Del Williams, vice president and general counsel; Chuck Lyles, president, Healthcare; and other associates gathered in the Plano boardroom to celebrate the grant of another patent to Perot Systems and to honor inventor David Houlding of the Healthcare group. This is the third patent issued to us for which Dave is an inventor. During the ceremony Chuck Lyles presented Dave with a plaque and Dave once again entered the Perot Systems Inventors Hall of Fame.

Assigned U.S. Patent No. 7,287,274 and titled Method and System for Providing Security to a Client Server Operating Browser, the technology involves a technique which allows a client web browser to run sophisticated applications without compromising security.

The patent is an important achievement for Perot Systems, explained Houlding, As more mission critical applications move to the web it becomes increasingly important to enable sophisticated functionality while preserving security. With this technology, Perot Systems has a new technique to use to help deliver industry leading web applications.

Dave has been one of our most prolific associate inventors and I congratulate him on his innovation and creativity, said Lyles.

The patent program is an important part of what we do to protect our intellectual assets. Dave has been a key contributor to the program and its success, said Williams.

Perot Systems patent program includes incentive awards for associate inventors and a patent committee has been established to review and evaluate invention disclosures submitted by our associates. The program is designed to heighten company awareness of intellectual property issues and to promote action from Associates with potentially patentable inventions.
